Ergolab Stealth Chairs
ErgoLab manufacture ergonomically correct chairs to not only fit your body, but to specifically perform in a manner that is suitable for your demanding work environment. Stealth Chair is superior to any other task or working chair because its patented design allows the chair to move with the user as they move forward and backward to access a keyboard or console. By moving with the user, the chair eliminates unhealthy pressure points, which cut off the blood supply and quickly fatigues muscles. Proper lumbar support is maintained in all positions and the pivoting seat allows the user to move forward by pivoting their entire body instead of bending at the lower back, thereby reducing pressure on the intervertebral discs, up to eight times. The mesh seat and backrest provide breathability to keep you cool, while providing superior support over standard foam and cloth upholstery. Designed and crafted in Colorado, USA, each Stealth Chair is made with superior components which will last much longer than typical office chairs. Universal-Distribution is the Official Distribution Agent for EMEA – the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. All enquiries welcome.

Generally speaking the most appropriate model for recording engineers sitting at the console or operators in task chair mode is the Stealth Pro large seat model as this provides excellent support and perfect posture when leaning forward to reach the controls especially when the chair is set in the free floating position, but when the user has an opportunity to lean back or relax without needing to sit upright the Stealth Pro large seat Executive model with Higher back rest is a really comfortable option.
Since both models of back rests can be purchased independently and easily retro fitted into the seat section many customers decide to purchase one of each so that they have the option to deploy either the Standard Lumber support backrest and Executive backrest according to their working style.
For recording studio applications sitting at the console the combination of Short Cylinder and standard castors provide the best adjustable height and the optional foot ring is not normally necessary.
Conversely for Live Sound, Concert and Touring applications the opposite configuration is normal, in which case the recommended configuration is Stealth Pro large seat model using the Tall Cylinder, Foot ring and Large Castors so the engineers has ample height to reach over to the full depth of the console.
All the examples mentioned above assume the user is either a medium to larger size male or a larger lady, rather than a smaller or slimmer male or standard size female in which case the standard smaller size seat models would be more appropriate. For the office chair market all 4 models would be relevant but for this application it would be normal to use the short cylinder, standard castors and to ignore the foot ring.

Assembly instructions are included and the set up takes no more than 10 minutes with no tools required.
Each chair comes with 2 cylinders which mount between the base and the seat.
The short cylinder provides sufficient adjustable height to sit by a studio console whereas the Tall cylinder is better suited when the chair is used for Live Sound / concert applications when the engineer needs to be higher up.
The optional foot ring is included but not normally required for Studio applications but very useful when combined with the Tall cylinder.
The standard Lumber support back rest is great for all applications unless the engineer has more of an opportunity to lean back and relax in which case he might prefer the Higher Executive back rest. Both are interchangeable and are held in place with a simple thumbscrew.
Standard office style castors are included together with a set of 4” heavy duty TourMax castors mainly aimed at the touring market
